Q I usually eat right after training, should I still use a Custom Protein?

A Your body is primed to start the recovery process within the first 30 minutes after your workout is over. Drinking a recovery drink during this 30 minute “window of opportunity” can help speed up the recovery process by:

  1. Replenishing muscle glycogen stores

  2. More quickly repairing damaged muscles

  3. Helping the body rehydrate more rapidly.

Without fiber and fat from actual food, a recovery drink is designed to get in your body very quickly. This is especially important if you’re training twice a day or you have another training session less than 12 hours apart.

Depending on the type of workout completed, the nutritional composition of your drink, and your personal nutritional needs, a recovery drink may hold you over for an hour or more. You can follow your recovery drink with an actual meal 1-2 hours after in most cases.
